We ventured to Phi Phi Island from Railay Beach.  To get there was a bit of a journey.  We were picked up by longtail boat, then switched to a ferry mid ocean (jumping from longtail to ferry made me feel like James Bond), then arrived at Tonsai Pier where Phi Phi Island arranged for another boat to pick us up and take us to our resort.  It was  a scenic ride and one that got us excited as we neared our destination.

When we arrived at Phi Phi Island Village Beach Resort it was simply breathtaking.  Wow!  This place is like a dream.  We were greeted by the wonderful staff with a delicious tropical beverage and shortbread cookie.  We both sat in complete awe that we had arrived in utopia! The check in process was seamless.  Shortly after, we were driven to our bungalow by golf cart.

Our bungalow was by far the nicest room that we’d stayed in for our entire trip around Thailand.  The room was clean, modern and spacious.  The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was immaculate with an awesome rain shower.  The shelf that they’ve added for luggage was a nice touch.

The whole vibe of the resort is “relaxing paradise”.  I loved seeing colorful butterflies flying freely.  I just felt so zen being on the grounds.

There are two pools on the resort.  One pool is known as the “party pool”, but it is still pretty tame in my opinion.  It’s has a pool bar and people here are friendly and chatty, but I would say even this pool fits with the relaxing vibe of the resort. The other pool on the other end of the resort is completely quiet.  It’s so peaceful.  You could hear a pin drop here.  They’re both beautiful infinity pools overlooking the ocean.  They’re simply stunning.

The service at this resort was phenomenal. Everyone was beyond friendly and happy to help with whatever you need.

There was breakfast included with our stay.  So many different options were offered.  There was a fresh juice bar, bread and pastries with spreads, pancakes and waffles, thai food, dumplings, fruits and salads, etc. We also ordered room service late night a couple times and the food was pretty good.

A 5 minute walk behind the resort there is a quaint little town where there are restaurants, bars and thai massages.  Everything here is much more cost efficient than anything on the resort.

The resort has a cute feature called “the love tree”.  You can purchase a heart from the resort gift shop, write your names on it and leave your mark on this tree.  Very cute.

When we were leaving, we opted to leave the island by a Speed Boat service that the resort offered.  This was such a lovely way to travel to our next destination.  We were on a large air conditioner speed boat that offered wi-fi and a cold beverage. It was a great extra service that the resort offers.

This was hands down my favorite resort on our Thailand vacation.
