Tonight we checked out the Boat Shed Ambleside for the Dine Under the Stars experience.  We were greeted, then led to our own clear, cozy, private greenhouse.  The set-up is just magical – lit up with beautiful lights, the interior is fitted with a space heater, radio, and the cutest decorative winter touches.

There are set menus with casual fare.  Each person receives an appetizer, main and dessert for $50 per person.  My husband and I ordered the Ricotta Crustini and Mini Tuna Poke Tostada to start, the cod burger and fish and chips for our mains and we received both dessert options of tiramisu and 3 macaroons.  The food is good, the atmosphere is better.  It’s all so pretty and the privacy makes for a lovely and romantic evening.  It’s definitely a unique dining experience.  In today’s day and age, it’s also the ultimate way to social distance – you and your bubble alone in the greenhouse.

The service here is fantastic.  Kelsey looked after us and she was great.  She was polite and friendly, she checked on us often without being intrusive, and took photos for us.

Fun fact, this eatery used to be the concession for the beach.  It’s quite impressive how it’s been elevated and it’ll be interesting to see what they do in the upcoming seasons.
